There are some pretty sad hearts in our little community Elsie....yours, mine, Mary's, Liz's....and many more are definitely are among them. My mind was a little else by Winston yesterday. I just couldn't focus on much. I was still having a hard time believing it was true. I can only attribute it to the fact that Winston must have touched my life more deeply than even I had imagined. We had become pretty close friends...even ovre the internet. He e-mailed me when he was concerned about something or when he just wanted to make me laugh...and I him. He cared deeply. I think he probably did that with many of his blogging buddies. I was not prepared to lose Winston so fast. None of us were....especially his dear wife, Kathy. I can only imagine what a tailspin she's experiencing.
Our little community will go on. We will write, we we thrive; but oh, how we will miss OUR sweet southern guy....our wonderful witty Winston. CHEERS to you Mr. Rand....anf love.
Joy, part of Winston's magic was making us all feel special. That's why it hurts so much. I can't imagine the pain his Kathy must be feeling.
Winston would want us to celebrate his life. So I join you saying, "Cheers to you Mr. Rand, and love."
He was, indeed, a pretty good guy.
