The center stone fell out. And I'm wearing it on my right hand. My dad gave the ring to mom for their 30th anniversary. She gave it to me for my 40th birthday.
Of course, I can't find the stone. Husband said "we'll get another one to replace it." Easy enough to do, but it's not the same. Sometimes I think men just don't understand the sentimentality of it. But, in the end, he's right, and that's exactly what I plan to do.
My name is also Elsie, I found your blog through a comment you left on a blog I was reading. I live in Australia and there's not many of us (Elsies) out here. I think you should choose a replacement stone in your Mum's favourite colour, it will make the ring all that more special.
Thanks for stopping by, River/Elsie. Great idea about changing the stone, but mom's favorite color seems to be diamonds. I think I might look into replacing it with her birthstone. Thanks for the sparking the idea.

Oh, noooo!
You're right, men probably don't understand, but a replacement is definitely in order. Your mom and dad would want that too...
Oooops, where did it go Elsie? Yep, it needs to be replaced...it's a lovely setting.
