And the winner is.....

Just wanted to point out that my man Donald received an Emmy nomination this morning for Lead Actor in a Mini-Series. How I did not know he was in a mini series is beyond me, but now I have something to look forward to (I must find it). I must also recognize Kiefer for his nomination for 24. A chip off the old block. This made my whole day!

Hmmm, I am beginning to think you may have some kind of karmic pull.

I watched Don't Look Back the other night (the one in Venice, naked Donald although, I would say that Julie Christie has always been my idea of alright)

Odd, isn't it? Maybe I can work it so he'll actually win (wouldn't that be something?). And Julie Christie, I can see your point and your good taste.

Never saw "Don't Look Back." I was too young when it came out, and somehow it escaped me. I think I just might have to find a copy. Sounds interesting.

Ooops, I mean, "Don't Look Now" (1973) I picked up a used version in France, "Ne Vous Retournez Pas", so I miss translated somehow. A very, very steamy love scene (which are not my usual speed), might not be included on the Yank version.

I looked it up and saw that it was "Don't Look Now" but didn't see any need to correct you. The fact that you could translate it at all is impressive to moi (since I stopped studying French in 10th grade). I tried to rent it, but no one has it. So now I'm forced to buy it, and I hope that it does contain the steamy love scene (which is definitely my speed -- not porn). My personal favorite is in "Coming Home." Not the greatest movie but, in my opinion, the hottest love scene ever.

Did you ever see Sutherland as Casanova in Fellini's version? It really is a wonderful, and oft overlooked film.

I did see that, but a very long time ago. Sounds like it's worth seeing again.

Last night hubby took the kids for a night swim to give me a break before he leaves today. Turned on AMC and guess what? MASH. Of course, I had to watch. I'm telling you, there's just something about him. Elliot Gould looked fairly dashing, too (as dashing as Elliot Gould can get).

In case anyone is interested, the MOVIE (not mini-series) for which Donald Sutherland was nominated for Best Lead Actor is "Human Trafficking" on Lifetime. No wonder why I didn't know about it. I'm the first one to run out to see a "chick flick," but Lifetime is too much even for me, and I rarely watch it. But I will be watching or recording this Sunday 7/16 at 2:00 p.m.
